New product award winner in 2016, the Blocks and Knots™ provides hours of shredding fun. We start with food safe cardboard blocks - 4 inch squares for large and medium, and 3 inch by 1.75 inch for the small version. We then string the blocks together by hand using our Safe Shred™ Cotton Rope, which shreds into fine short cotton threads. Others use yarn rope that unravels into long thick sections that can entangle a bird. The large Blocks N Knots™ is over 2 feet long, Medium 21 inches, and Small 12 inches.
Play Tip - Kick it up a notch by hiding some of your birds favorite nuts in the blocks. Simply cut a small slot in the top of the block and push a seed or seeds into the block.
I have a finicky amazon parrot who will absolutely refuse to play with a toy after the main shredding part is gone, but he loves to shred both the blocks and the rope on this toy! When we get a new order of them, the moment my parrot sees the toys he is all hyped up and ready to play 10/10
I have to take these apart into 3 toys for my African Grey (he likes smaller chews) but he can't get enough. These blocks are super foraging toys with a nice crunchy pop for shredding. Warning: They'd probably last about 1/2 a minute for larger birds or more aggressive shredders. But amazing for us!
I got this for my daughter’s lovebirds for Christmas; they love playing with it.
Tutti never really played with his toys. In 27 years he has done little more but I didn't say then play with something for a minute if that. Now he's busy every time I passed the cage having a blast ripping and shredding this toy. Now I keep two of them in his cage and I finally have time to myself
Very Happy with my purchase.

Suggested size for Senegal Parrot
For a Senegal you could go with either a small or medium size Blocks N Knots. If you have the room for the medium and you dont think your Senegal would be afraid of the 4"x4" cardboard blocks - give that a try. Senegals are great chewers - and the medium may last a little longer.
