Now your bird can have the health and comfort of a natural wood perch, along with the safety grip and nail benefits of a pedicure perch. Only the Superoost™ combines Manzanita along with patented pedicure pumice grips. Manzanita is one of the hardest woods available, which provides a long-lasting perch. We then add 100% natural cosmetic grade pumice to the sides for grip and nail health. This is so good – it’s patented!
Just as in nature, each perch is unique – in shape, color and texture. No two perches will be the same. 100% natural – and made in the USA.
Now you don’t make sacrifices. You can have a Manzanita perch, one of the most durable natural wood available, along with the health and safety of a pedicure perch. Only from SF&B!

I was amazed how quickly I noticed a difference in my birds toenails. The very next day they were smoother and didn’t dig into my skin like before.
I installed this perch near my birds sleeping spot and she likes it
Great idea! My Nigel loves his new perch.
I bought this perch and had it in the cage before I brought my baby conure home along with several others. This is by far his favorite one! He is always on it and sleeps on it as well! I love it and recently just bought another one for a rescue Amazon with overgrown nails and beak. I just know these perches will help!
QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
Hello! Is this non-toxic as well? My cockatiel tends to pick at the pumice on these at times and just want to make sure it wont harm her if accidentally consumed. Thank you!
It is non-toxic. We use a child safe glue and cosmetic grade pumice. Pumice is ground up volcanic rock. If you see your bird removing and ingesting the pumice, then the perch should be removed. We have not heard of that being an issue. Birds may rub their beaks on the pumice as part of their beak conditioning and grooming.
I don't have a cage for a rescued parakeet yet...can I use this as a free standing perch resting on the bottom of his temporary box?
The Superoost needs to be mounted to a cage. If you are looking for a free standing perch, you could use a small weaning stand. That would work in a tempory box - and then could be used as a portable stand. Hope that helps - and thanks for resucing this bird!
Which size do you recommend for a caique?
A small size will work well for a caique.
Hello : I need this to go onto horizontal bars can you make two of them for me? I need two small manzanita with the pedicure pumice grips. Maybe they should be made with an X so they can go either way.
Would be glad to make them for you. With a simple modification, they will fit horizonal or vertical bar orientation - with a bar gap of 1/2" or more. Just place an order through the website and we will get them made and out to you tomorrow.
