This perch is awesome, solid and my grey enjoys it it's a great size for him, and I've noticed his nails not being so sharp. Worth it! I also have a small one for my cockatiel, also a good size and she likes hers too. Also... Fastest shipping/processing EVER!

Have many SF&B perches. Until now they’ve been designed for vertical bars and I have had to wiggle them between the horizontal bars to secure them to the side of the cage. The new design for horizontals is a welcome change and I do also like the natural wood color as the dye on previous perches made a mess when I washed them and honestly made me wonder how safe it is for the bird. Happy with the change and will likely purchase again since I like having a variety of surfaces and sizes available for his royal highness.

I bought two of these perches some time ago and had a similar experience that another reviewer wrote about / the dye coming off when the perch got wet. I discovered that when I was cleaning the cage and perches. Also had a problem attaching the perch to the horizontal bars. NOW SF&B has announced NO DYES and availability for both horizontal and vertical bars. Based on the ‘new and improved”, I am going to order another perch. Honestly I can’t say if my AG has a favorite perch. At night he roosts on the highest perch no matter which one it is.

I was not sure which size perch to purchase for my African Grey, but went with the large one. It is his favorite now. I am so glad I got it for him. Looks very well made. Should last a very long time.
