Exactly as advertised, after asking a couple of clarifying questions about material and size. The Blue Fronted Amazon likes the Medium Pumice Perch. We also purchased a Small for variety of sizes. Prompt and helpful responses to our questions.
Love them. My birds use them and it keeps their nails and breaks trimmed
Perfect size for my African Red Bellied parrot. Love the large plastic screw on caps that attach the perch to the cage. Also, exceptional customer service! Will definitely return in the future.
I received my small safety perch today. It's well and thoughtfully designed. I had read reviews on Amazon that said the perch only fits between vertical bars, and I needed to place it between horizontal bars, so I wrote to the company to inquire about this issue. Brian answered my e-mail immediately and said that the mount has a slot that allows fitting on vertical bars; otherwise it needs about a 3/4-inch gap to fit between horizontal bars. My bird's cage has about a 5/8-inch gap between the bars. Brian offered to customize a perch for me so it would fit that gap, at no charge. That's amazing customer service. He sliced away a bit of the threads to narrow the mount but left enough unmodified threads to hold the mounting cap securely. It works great. The perch is very lightweight and so is my parakeet so the modification did not affect the function at all. We're very happy with it and will order another one in the near future. Thank you, SweetFeetAndBeak!
