It took my birds (a lilac crown amazon & a maximilian pionus) a few days to get use to them, but now they are using them in favor of the other perches in their cage most of the time. They are a winner!
Every time my bird tried to play with it the paper would tear off and I would have to take it out of the cage and adjust it through the slot so she could repeat ..........a waste of both of our time......I took it out of the cage.
The best perches, I have used them for years. but the toy with the tape is really bad.......once the bird tears off the paper you have to take it out and realign the paper.......that lasts for about a minute... the worst.
I used to use the concrete or all sand perches then noticed my birds feet were raw and irritated. Switched to these and his feet are so much better and his nails are trimmed. Been using it for years. DON'T HESITATE!!
